Comparing other destinations of Sun, Sea and sand; Maldives is a destination I have truly had the blessing of experiencing its virtues.


Very often people question what is special in the Maldives other destination do not have. What do we seek in our vacation memorable, fun and better yet an escape from our lives our own castaway; breaking free from stress, tired life, busy life, the worries we carry that would be more like the blunt truth our distraction.


Has anyone wondered on a business perspective why in the small islands all international brands globally come together in one country? Where else does this heaven of luxury exist? Why fashion brands open resorts as franchise in the Maldives?


Yes there is the obvious that Maldives has to offer the luxury, pampering, the tropical weather, sun, the clear blue waters, coral and the breathtaking marine life that is always stated and emphasized on.


Maldives is a seclusion destination, a switch off destination, an escape destination. The aura of Maldives is such that you truly emotionally and mentally disconnect from worldly worries. A destination you feel your honeymoon is endless, your family vacation is fun filled like the whole island is your playground. Your worries, stress and busy life takes a sink. This is neither a party destination nor a shopping fiesta. It’s your solitude.


Maldives is where a vacation is not complex, a destination that spells vacation away from home, stress, work the perfect getaway and one of the few destination where it is on arrival visa for 30 days for the whole world. Things to know about MALDIVES - When Selling

• Maldives off day is Friday.
• Working Hours are 9 am - 6pm.
• Non-negotiable on payment policies.
• Non-negotiable on cancelation policy.
• Rates are higher November - April.
• Rates are lower May – October.
• Not a shopping Destination.
• One Island One Resort.
• Inter Resort transfers are via the Airport. Airport -> Resort 01 -> Airport -> Resort 02 -> Airport.
• Usual turnaround time of resorts on confirmation is 24H.
• Availability of Maldives is always subject to change without prior notice, as they have less room counts and sold globally.
• Speedboat resorts are only resorts within Male Atoll.
• Seaplanes land on water, no they are not air conditioned, and yes they are very scenic.
• How Domestic transfers work are; Land in International terminal, come out, walk to the domestic terminal, land in domestic airport, and take speedboat to the resort. Why take a speedboat after landing in the domestic airport? As the concept says One Island One Resort.
• Resorts accept payments only in Global Currencies eg: EUR / USD.
• Airport is not in Male, it is in Hulhule Island. Male city is a different island from Hulhule.
• No there are no cars in resorts.
• Maldives is not famous for its night life, but for its aquatic life, no there are no jungles or mountains.
• Maldives resorts are very strict on their exclusivity agreements.
• Maldives offers and rates, are mostly segmented market wise.
• Maldives Resorts, it is always better to know client budget. Prices vary vastly even within a singular star category e.g.: 05 Star.
• Male City Tour is only done on foot.
• Maldives for speedboat resorts, once check out they do not drop you straight to the airport till the time of your flight they keep you in the resort, you can pay and use their services. This is slightly different with seaplane and domestic flight as they have operating hours.
• Seaplane & Domestic flight timings are given the one day prior usually in the evening.
• Maldives transfers are not arranged on times, but on International flight numbers.
